Research Goal

Well abandonment is one of the largest challenges facing the oil and gas industry, both in the sheer volume of wells that need to be abandoned as well as the costs involved. The primary goal of CODA is to develop new technologies for improving efficiency and lowering costs of well abandonment and decommissioning, as well as guaranteeing long-term isolation and sealing of reservoir fluids and gas.
